Which shampoo do you need?

Confused by all the shampoo choices out there for your pet?  Here are some descriptions to help clear things up:

• Medicated shampoo -- relieves itching and scaling of the dry coat and skin, as well as removing dirt and debris.
  
  
• Conditioning shampoo -- cleans and conditions in one step, especially good for long-haired or easily matted coats.
  
  
• Flea/tick shampoo -- contains insecticide to kill fleas and/or ticks while it cleans. Use cautiously, and follow all directions. Do not use on puppies or kittens.
  
  
• Protein shampoo -- builds extra body and eases dryness, especially good for terrier coats.
  
  
• Oatmeal shampoo -- one of the best overall shampoos, soothes, cleans and is good for any coat.
  
  
• Tearless shampoo -- good for sensitive skin and eyes.
