I hope you like this Enzo. Starling murmurations are quite common in the UK during the winter, though not often as good as this! The starlings group together in flight as a defence usually against a predator -such as a sparrowhawk.
Aerial ballet! How they don't collide, because they're moving at a fair pace ....
Though even a solo swift (swallow or house martin) is truly mesmerising.
All this talk of religion, but it's how you live your life that is the all-important thing.
If you set out each day to do all the goodness and kindness that you can, and to do no harm to man or beast, then you are walking the highest path.
And when your time is up, if you can leave the earth a better place than you found it, then yours will have been a life well lived. http://holy-lance.blogspot.com
What wonderful videos! Thanks for sharing :)
I never knew what it was called. I've seen large groups of starlings here before but they are tiny compared to these! What a beautiful scene. I wish it was a common thing here. I could not imagine witnessing something like this in person. It would definitely take my breath away.
Yes we get visited by starlings every winter in the UK. They migrate from the Baltic or Scandinavia, and go back in the Spring. This is a common sight (though usually not as impressive as that!)
