  • Pet Foods That Have Not Been Recalled?

As of March 16th, 2007, Menu Foods has initiated a voluntary pet food recall of 53 brands of dog food and 42 brands of cat food, following the deaths of at least 9 cats and 1 dog and many more reports of kidney failure. The recall specifically applies to Menu Foods' "Cuts and Gravy" style food, a moist pet food consisting of chunks of meat in gravy that is sold in cans as well as small foil pouches. The cat and dog food recall includes more than 60 million containers of pet food. Popular brands from Iams, Eukanuba, Hill's Science Diet, Purina, and Nutro are included in the recall, and major retailers involved include Wal-Mart, Target, PetSmart, Kroger, Food Lion, Price Chopper, Publix, and Safeway. If you're using a food on the Menu Foods recall list, which can be found at www.menufoods.com/recall/ it is highly recommended you discontinue use of the food and switch to a dry food formula.

At PetFoodss.com, we offer an alternative that has never been recalled. The source is Flint River Ranch. The reason is the quality. Flint River Ranch's pet food is all natural; conataining no by-products, dyes or artificial chemical preservatives. Flint River Ranch also uses only the finest human-grade meat and grain sources for the highest quality pet foods possible. The quality is high, but the price is not. In fact, our pet food will cost you less per day than other "premium" pet foods. On top of that all of our products are shipped via UPS within two days of manufacture for free! Guaranteed fresh. Guaranteed best. If you are not happy with the food you can return it within 30 days for a full refund.

The food is great, but the opportunity can be as well. As a breeder you have a large customer base. Why not use that to your advantage? Your customers will all need pet food. If you choose to distribute not only can you save money on your own products, but you can also make a comission on every product you sell. With customers that will probably be needing food at least once a month this can add up to a nice bonus.

If you are interested you can visit PetFoodss.com or email for more information using the links in my signature.

I've used FRR before. However the system they have in place (and your apart of) is unnecessary. You can go directly to the FRR site to order. BTW, the official site. : http://www.frrco.com/indexFlash.cfm
When you search for FRR it doesn't even come up with the official site first. There are a hundred other people just like you pushing the product listed before the official site.

Oh and the cat formula.. NOT good. The quality is way lower compared to the dog formula.

Ingredients of Adult Cat: BAD ITEMS IN BOLD
Chicken Meal, Ground Yellow Corn, Lamb Meal, Corn Gluten Meal, Chicken Fat (Preserved with Mixed Tocopherols and Ascorbic Acid), Ground Whole Wheat, Dried Brewers Yeast, Fish Meal, Corn Germ Meal, Salt, Dried Beet Pulp, Dehydrated Cheese, Lecithin, D-Activated Animal Sterol (Source of Vitamin D-3), Vitamin A Acetate, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Vitamin E Supplement, Niacin Supplement, Riboflavin, Calcium Pantothenate, Choline Chloride, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Folic Acid, Biotin, Thiamine Mononitrate, Inositol, DL-Methionine, Manganese, Dehydrated Kelp, Zinc Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Cobalt Sulfate, Ferrous Sulfate, Taurine, Calcium Iodate, Sodium Selenite, Dried Whey

That's just looking at the first few lines. I'm sure there's more that isn't actually good for animals in that.

You are correct. You can go directly to the site if you would like to, however, the way Flint River Ranch has built its company and customer base is through distributors like myself. They pay no advertising fees due to this. Whether you order from my site or directly from them you will get the same price. The only reason to order from my site is to get them to pay for how they got their customer. If you heard about it from me why not give me credit?

As far as with the cat food, I am not positive. I will say that they mainly focus on dog food, which is why they only have 4 cat products. As I have said above Flint River Ranch has not been recalled so if you are looking for an all natural alternative that uses human grade meat and grain and will be shipped fresh to your door for free within 2 days of manufacture you may click on one of the links in my signature.

I currently feed Chicken Soup for both dog/cat. And I will not be going back to FRR. Reason being you cannot pick it up in the store. You MUST buy it online and for those that wish to be in an actual store and exchange cash that's impossible to do with FRR.

"all natural" is throwing bits and pieces of a dead deer on the floor and saying "here poochy poo, dinner is served!!!"

.....sorry, but I've never seen a chicken walking around with tocopherols in its fat and do Riboflavin, Calcium Pantothenate, Choline Chloride, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Folic Acid, Biotin, Thiamine Mononitrate, Inositol, DL-Methionine, Manganese, Dehydrated Kelp, Zinc Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Cobalt Sulfate, Ferrous Sulfate, Taurine, Calcium Iodate, Sodium Selenite or Dried Whey grow on trees??

hmmm....i'd consider "natural" to be the way the good lord intended it to be. if i ever wake up and see sodium selenite sprout in my garden then I'll consider it all natural and feed it to my dogs.

:P thanks for sharing this info though......but isn't it advertising? and isn't advertising not allowed on here?

It is true that you cannont pick Flint River Ranch products up in the store, however, you can order a sample to see if your dog likes it. If you would not like to order a sample, you can order whatever size bage you would like and if you are not satisfied you will receive a 100% full refund.

With the all natural thing. I will go with you sayin that some of these ingredients do not grow on trees, but for the most part it is one of the healthiest dog foods out. For this reason it has been ranked Top 10 Dog Foods for 5 years now in The Whole Dog Journal.

I am not really trying to advertise here, but look out for the health of your pets. Right now something bad is happening and if you continue using the food you are your pet's health is in danger. I am just trying to promote your pet's health by introducing a healthy alternative.

wow. It's amazing how you can just know we all use food that is going to harm our animals. Like we would intentionally put our animals in danger! I've had about enough of this. Yes it is against the rules to advertise here. And you need to take your advertisement somewhere else.

Not trying to be mean, but to Original Poster: Your post may have been better received if it had been presented as general information about a safe food, instead of a bit of a scare tactic.

We all have been discussing the recalls and everyone has already done their research to find safe foods for our pups, so your timing is not so great.

"if you continue using the food you are your pet's health is in danger".
This bit of your post is not respectful to others. My pets health is not in danger. We do our best, here to stay on top of things, so we deserve a little credit.

Dog food refers to food specifically intended for consumption by dogs, as opposed to table scraps of human food. In the United States alone, dog owners spent over $8.5 billion on commercially manufactured dog food in 2007.Some people make their own dog food, feed their dogs meals made from ingredients purchased in grocery or health-food stores or give their dogs a raw food diet.

Re: Pet Foods That Have Not Been Recalled?

Isnt it moer beneficial to teach people what to feed their dogs instead of simply using product recall (the page is 404'd so i see no credible source) as a way to market your own brand for your monetary gain.
All you are doing is peddling other peoples misery as a marketing gimmick. Grow up and get some morals
