How to rid off fleas from dog

There are basically two choices:
1. A commercial flea and tick treatment, available from vets, supermarkets, some chemists.
2. A more natural approach, using a treatment containing neem oil. Neem oil is a natural plant extract and a strong repulsive for ticks and fleas.
In my opinion, if the dog is already infested with ticks and fleas, then it would be better to use a commercial chemical product first, then use the neem oil regularly to avoid re-infestation.
If the infestation you mentioned is severe, then veterinary consultation is advised.

The best way to wash your dogs weekly is with shampoo and lemon juice. Inserting fleabags under your dog's bedding will also help drive away fleas. Also can use flea traps to get rid of fleas.Last edited by LPC; 04-22-2022, 01:45 AM. Reason: Commercial link deleted. Do not attempt to reinsert.

I tried Nexgard chews for small dogs. It has amazing results and is very effective in fleas and ticks. It is a monthly chewable treatment and tasty beef flavor. I would recommend this product proudly.Last edited by LPC; 04-22-2022, 01:43 AM. Reason: Commercial link deleted. Do not attempt to reinsert.

That was a very common problem with my mestizo - husky with a shepherd dog and because of his large coat. it happened that ticks and mosquitoes, having drunk blood, fell off on their own because it was impossible to find everyone on his body. You should get some advices and solutions from https://sv-og-grossauheim.de/en/how-...-off-my-puppy/ which helped my dog a lot and I need to say If I'm right the treatment protects the dog from fleas, not the environment. I think that treating the house regularly is the best idea for you (obviously flea treat the dog regularly if you feel comfortable doing that too.
