  • Recommended bed for winter

So very cold wind started to blow here, Doppler currently enjoying the falling leaves and it will be his first winter with us. Last summer he enjoyed this cold floor in living room where he love to rest during the day after every play/exercise so he have his regular bed, chews and toys there but since its getting colder, the floor might too cold for him and we have house rule that no dog in the couch (unless dad is not around or he is invited), we are thinking of heated bed for him. We checked here for good list http://www.petstreetmall.com/Heated-Dog-Beds/465.html but would like to ask first for any recommendation from people here. Doppler's chewing habit is not over yet so we are thinking of the microwavable one, we just don't know if the heat will lasts for the floor is really cold.

      Re: Recommended bed for winter

I just had a quick look on the net and found this: http://www.petswelcome.com/articles/...-pet-beds.html

There are lots of models and manufacturers listed there. Take your pick, according to your specific needs, as you know your dog best. But I suggest one with higher sides, to keep his body warm.

      Hope this helps you!

Some people think this is just a 'cat thing' -but many dogs like to go inside a cave-like bed especially when it's colder weather. My dog always liked her bed to be covered so she could burrow inside it. Then I let her sleep with me in the end, and she always liked to go under the duvet!
A dog bed with a roof (furry material) might be appreciated by some dogs.

A bit like a four-poster bed for humans, LOL!
