this is typical of a food allergy.
I would bet you are feeding this dog a grocery store brand of dog food, and I would bet it might be Kibbles and Bits, the worst sort of dog food trash ever, and the makers should be jailed.
Your dog needs it's diet changed to a super premium brand of kibble. Speak to someone at your local pet supply store about their foods, and pick one t hey recommend as super premium.
Try to find one that does not contain wheat, soy, or corn products.
I also feel that all dogs should have fresh food in their diet. Please consider adding some scrambled eggs, canned mackerel, whole milk plain yoghurt, chicken gizzards and hearts, small amounts of liver, cottage cheese, and any green vegetable leftovers that you don't eat to your dogs diet, in reasonable small amounts.
As with any disorder, an trip to the vet is always a good idea, whoever, I would not let them talk you into medicating the dog with Presnisone.
Good luck, let us know how you come out.Redyre Rottweilers

Pedigree is not a brand I would EVER recommend.
Low on the list as far as general quality.
Check with your local pet supply store, and ask about their SUPER PREMIUM brands.
Search the internet for information on dog food and how to read labels. There is a mountain of information out there.
Quickly, if it says "meat" it can be any meat. And I do mean ANY. Road kill. Euthanized dogs and cats (THIS IS COMMON), DDDD (diseased, down, dead, dying) animals who cannot be used as human grade food.
Another tactic lesser quality dog foods use is splitting of ingredients. If you have several different grains, or divided grains listed as different ingredients, you end up with more grain than meat in the food. You are feeding a dog, not a cow.
MOST of the time switching a dog to an ALL fresh food diet will eliminate these sorts of skin and allergy issues.
That is another good search for you, raw food diets for dogs, lots of info about that out there too.
Best of luck, I would guess that the food is the problem.Redyre Rottweilers
