I have a betta splenden. For some reason, he is floating at the top of the tank and try as he might, he can't swim to the bottom. A part of his back is poking outside the surface of the water, exposed to the air. He was fine yesterday, had no trouble swimming, and was his usual self. But then we fed him and he developed this problem at night.
The same thing had happened a couple of days ago, and when I searched it on the internet (because I didn't know what to do, still don't) the symptoms matched with swim bladder disease. I didn't feed him for two days and he was back to normal. But then the trouble began again yesterday.
And maybe it's just me, but his tail looks a tad bit smaller than it was. I don't know what to do.
