lizards?

I have so many lizards in my yard. They have a purple stripe on there tail and they are kinda grey. They are fairly small and they don't think they bite. Does anyone know what kind of lizards they are. My brother has an English Bulldog, she doesn't chase the lizards but she does chase squirells.

USA. Maryland. It's tuff to get a picture of them but I'll try. Also, there are deer in my yard every once in a while. I'll try to get a picture of them too, also going to be tuff. My Dad is convinced that deer are now eating branches off our tomato plants.

It looks to me like the Southeastern Five-lined Skink (Eumeces [Plestiodon] inexpectatus). Colours are slightly variable, but always white stripes. See:

I have a lot of wildlife in my yard. I'll send more pictures. You were right its a skink, I have seen both the juvenille lizard and adult lizard running around here.
